You should read this support page http://perian.org/#support in case you need to delete older codecs. In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them), particularly any DivX extension to Safari. However it should be noted that Perian is not an internet plugin and will not play DivX files imbedded on a website. For that you will need the DivX Player browser plugin available from http://www.divx.com/en/software/mac

Imm4 Codec Vlc

By Green Torch Studios Windows Media Codec Pack is the freeware codec pack for all version of Windows. It allows for 99% video play and supports all popular audio and video formats, including DVDs. Imm4 I believe is there to hold the timestamp and camera IDas the video has been downloaded from a CCTV recorder. What I need to do is convert the video to MPEG or WMV so that we can use the footage in a powerpoint presentation. From what I can see there are loads of converters out there that will convert AVI but not AVI with the Imm4 codec!! Hey guys, a quick question - does anybody know where i can D/L an IMM4 codec for WMP 11 or VLC player? I can't find one anywhere!!! I know its an unusual format but does anybody know where to get it from? Is it worth converting this file into an mpeg or something similar? Thanks guys, Ashweedy.
